Questions
What year levels does it cover?
Years 5, 6 and 7. The rubric is year-normed, so a Year 5 child is scored against Year 5 expectations, not compared to older students.
What types of writing does it mark?
Persuasive, creative and informative writing, plus response-to-stimulus (where the child writes from a picture, quotation or scenario). These are the types used in Australian independent school scholarship exams.
How long does marking take?
About two minutes. The marker reads the piece twice, checks every quote it cites, and generates the model response. You see the result on screen and get an email when it is ready.
Can my child write on paper?
Yes. Print the writing template, let them write on it, and photograph each page. The system transcribes the handwriting and you check the transcript before marking. In the final weeks before the exam, the plan switches to handwriting automatically, because that is how most scholarship exams are sat.
Does the season pass renew?
No. It runs to 31 March 2027 and stops. There are no recurring charges, no auto-renewals, and nothing to cancel.
Can I add more than one child?
The season pass covers up to three children. Each child gets their own plan, their own prompts, and their own pattern reports. The starter pack is per-family, not per-child.
What if I start with the starter pack and want to upgrade?
If you purchase a season pass after buying a starter pack, we credit the $39 against the $149. You pay the difference.
Will this improve my child's exam score?
We do not predict results or guarantee outcomes. What practice gives a child is familiarity with the task and composure on the day. The feedback is specific enough to act on, and the plan is structured enough to build skills over time. That is what we sell.
Is this affiliated with ACER, Edutest or any test provider?
No. Scholarship Practice is not affiliated with or endorsed by any scholarship test provider. All prompts and stimulus materials are original. No real exam content is reproduced.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of purchase. Contact hello@scholarshippractice.com.au.
Who built this?
A former head of assessment with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. The rubric is anchored on NAPLAN and Australian Curriculum standards at bands 1 to 4, with bands 5 and 6 written from scratch to discriminate at scholarship level.
